The choice is endless; Holme-Next-The-Sea makes an excellent base for visiting
the countless attractions in and around Norfolk. There are numerous activities
on our doorstep or you can travel further afield. The choice is yours. Whatever
your interest or hobby there is something to suit everyone, whether you want to
relax and unwind or have a more active break.

Places of Interest: Sandringham is a great
place for all the family. Sandringham House to explore. wonderful gardens to
view and walks to enjoy, restaurant, gift shop and plants to buy. It has a
woodland play area for children and it's vast areas of green grass ideal for
football, cricket or frisbee. For more information visit the Sandringham

Kings Lynn with all it's maritime
history, fine architecture and museums is close by and worth a visit. Market
days are Tue/Fri/Sat and the town has a variety of shops to browse around. For

Lynn Tourist Information website. Burnham Market has
lots of gift shops to browse, a very good book shop and delicatessen, clothes
and gardening items to buy or just enjoy looking at. The
Hoste Arms offers excellent food as does the tea-room which serves morning
coffee, lunch, snacks and afternoon tea. For more information visit the Burnham
Market website. The Dinosaur Adventure Park is a must
for children. It takes about 45 minutes to get there but is well worth the
journey. You can spend an entire day there enjoying the various activities. Has
numerous play areas, trampolines, go-carts, crazy golf, bouncy castle and of

Adventure Website. Beaches: Holme-Next-The-Sea
Only a 10 minute walk from Rose Cottage, or alternatively park in the car park,
which has public conveniences and a small kiosk selling refreshments. The vast
sandy beaches and sand dunes are popular with dog walkers, horse riders and kite
flyers. There is plenty of room on the beach and it rarely gets crowded.
Old
Hunstanton Parking is available adjacent to the Le. Strange Arms Hotel for a
small fee. Alternatively you can usually find a space in one of the surrounding
streets. There is access to public conveniences, a beach cafe selling a
selection of refreshments from breakfast, hot lunches, tea, coffee, snacks,
cakes and ice creams. again another vast beach area. Very popular, not as quiet
as Holme, but not as busy as Hunstanton beach. Hunstanton
Parking is available in the seafront car parks for a fee, or in the surrounding
streets. Numerous ice-cream and refreshment stands, beach accessory shops and children's
entertainment with donkey rides and a fun fair. Boats trips to Seal
island are available. The Oasis swimming pool is situated along the sea front
and the Sea-Life Centre and the Seal
Sanctuary are great places to visit on a wet day. Leisure

Riding There are many stables and equestrian centres in Norfolk. For more

Bike Hire is available when visiting Bircham
Windmill, and thr surrounding area has some lovely countryside routes to follow.

Birds Don't Fly' in Hunstanton also offers

on Hunstanton recreation ground. Further information can be obtained from the

Today Website. Birdwatching The RSPB Nature Reserve at
Titchwell is very close by and well worth a visit. Another hidden away area to
explore is in Holme itself, a small hide tucked away at the end of the village

website. Walking The ancient Peddar Way joins the
coast path at Holme and offers a host of different routes to follow and explore.
