Rose Cottage is a detached early Victorian home, built with traditional local carrstone brick and chalk walls, set in the centre of the small, unspoilt and quiet coastal village of
Holme-next-the-sea in North Norfolk.
The local pub is well known for its food with local stores, post office and bakery in both Thornham and Old Hunstanton approximately two miles either side of
Holme. The town of Hunstanton has two large supermarkets, butchers, greengrocers, bakers, chemists, garage and doctors surgery. The sea is half a mile from Holme with extensive sandy beaches and dunes, RSPB nature reserves, golf course and is close to the ancient long distance walk Peddars Way, which joins the coastal path at
Holme. Hunstanton is three miles away with all the amenities and attraction of a typical English seaside town.
